I found EVENT_AGE after FU_END_AGE in endpoint data, how is it possible?

This may have happened in DF8, where endpoint data’s FU_END_DATE was the "truncated" date when follow-up of the most of the registers ended (31.12.2019). However, follow-up ended later than this in hilmo register and primary care register (March 2021). In this case EVENT_AGE (in event that comes from eg. Hilmo register) could have been after FU_END_AGE.

FU_END_AGE variable in endpoint data is individuals age at the

  • Common follow-up end date of the registers (a.k.a FU_END_DATE)

OR

  • Age at death (if deceased – and even if moved abroad at some point)

OR

  • Age at emigration (if moved abroad, and not deceased).

In DF9 we have changed the FU_END_DATE, so that it is the “latest follow-up date” of any register (in DF9 it is 11.10.21; when follow-up ends in hilmo and avohilmo), so this won’t happen in DF9.
