Currently, Teams is used as a platform for the Disease Specific Task Forces and for storing and sharing the materials and recordings of the Steering Committee meetings and the Finnish Partners (Suomalaiset Partnerit)
Members who work at the University of Helsinki can join directly via this link to the FinnGen Teams group.
External members (all other partner organisations) need to request access from either their Task Force admin co-lead or by writing to finngen-admin@helsinki.fi.
Once an external member has been added to the Teams group, he/she will receive an email with a link to the group and will need to accept the invitation by following the link. In some cases, an additional authentication step may be required when first accessing the Teams group.
Note that as an external member you need to switch to the University of Helsinki by clicking your profile icon in the upper right corner of the display and selecting University of Helsinki from the organisations you belong to.
Troubleshooting:
If you are unable to access FinnGen Teams upon invitation, try the following:
Restart Teams
If you are using NEW Teams revert back to Classic Teams temporarily to complete the access process
If you can't see the channels, click on hidden channels
If you create content, make sure you give all groups full rights to edit the folder and files. This way they will be visible to all members and guests.
