How to publish GWAS summary statistics

These instructions describe how you may publish your GWAS summary statistics with the entire research community (=anyone with Internet access) in a public bucket hosted by FinnGen.

1. Prerequisites

   1. You should have GWAS summary statistics related to an approved analysis proposal. Note! Only GWAS summary statistics may be shared, other file formats are not supported. With summary statistics we mean output text files with variant-wise summary data formed using case/control groups of >=5 individuals. Files should not contain any individual-level data.

   2. These summary statistics should already be shared in FinnGen hosted internal green bucket. Please see How to share GWAS summary statistics for more information.

   3. You should have a finngen.fi account.

   4. Your shared results should be related to a manuscript that has been approved by FinnGen partners.

2. Identify the location of your data in FinnGen hosted internal green bucket gs://fg-publication-green.

3. Fill in form to request to publish your summary statistics

   1. https://elomake.helsinki.fi/lomakkeet/123869/lomake.html Note! Your data will be published to a public bucket gs://fg-publication-green-public and this bucket is accessible by anyone with Internet connection.

4. Your request is automatically sent to [e-mail]

   1. We will handle your request and get back to you if more information is needed.

   2. Once data is released, you will receive the URL from us.

   3. The URL may be shared with anyone with Internet access.
